The course is delivered over 38 lessons of varying length, and the multimedia resources provide further depth and context to the topics at hand, allowing you to better understand and apply the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in your professional environment.
The course is designed for anyone involved in the effective running of an educational establishment. This includes leaders, aspiring leaders, teachers, administrators, site staff, cleaning staff, and kitchen staff. It is suitable for anyone who wants to enrich their approach to diversity, equity, inclusion, and overall operational effectiveness.
The Being Luminary Programme
The Being Luminary Programme supports leaders in building a culture to be proud of. Our programme is designed to ensure that everyone feels a sense of belonging and is able to bring all aspects of their identities to the organisation.
We understand the importance of addressing minoritised identities and the intersections between them. That's why we take a holistic account of all identities and help you shape a strategy that promotes belonging for all.
Our programme is built on the wisdom of many, not just the energies and ingenuity of a few. It is a group programme that allows you to get to know your team better and learn about each other's identities and value systems as they apply to DEI within a collaborative setting.
In both content and approach, our programme teaches you how to create a culture to be proud of. Here's what's included:
-
This keynote, delivered in an interactive style, addresses all staff in your organisation. We take a narrative lens and amplify the power of personal stories and high-profile cases to create a compelling and often moving session. You can expect to be provoked, challenged, and leave energised and galvanised. We also encourage your staff to take an (optional) survey and a curriculum audit to gather crucial data on your workforce.
-
These sessions cover the characteristics covered by the UK Equality Act of 2010. They are deep and wide-ranging and facilitated by our team of expert consultants.
The Melanated Mastermind
The Melanated Mastermind is the perfect mentoring program for women of colour looking to access their higher-order thinking, deepest knowing, confidence, clarity, and stability.
Designed specifically for those who have struggled with leadership programs that don't address the unique experiences of women of colour, this program provides a supportive space to navigate the challenges of being a woman of colour in the workplace and reaching your next major career goal.
You'll gain an understanding of key competencies for transformational leaders, leadership tools and frameworks and develop a personal career strategy. You'll also have opportunities to craft your authentic leadership style, understand barriers to progress for minority ethnic groups, increase confidence and amplify your leadership voice. This programme is about positioning you in a place of sovereignty and backing you up with a community rooted in power and sisterhood.
Sovereign Woman
Sovereign Woman is THE course for any woman who wants to feel better and who wants to gain stability, clarity, and sovereignty across her life.
It’s for the woman who has tried in the past to take other routes like indulging in self-help books but who has found that without community and accountability, it has been challenging to follow through.
It’s for the woman who has done leadership programmes before but focused on leading better in the workplace, not leading better across the entirety of her life.
It’s for the woman who tried to tough it out, telling herself, “These are first-world problems,” or “Life isn't so bad — what's to complain about?”
That woman is you, and the truth is, you’re overwhelmed by the moving parts of your life, which is completely understandable. It feels as though as soon as you get one aspect in balance, it threatens to capsize the equilibrium that you have in another area.
You want more juice out of life, but you haven’t got the energy to squeeze it. This in itself is hard to sit with because you feel like you have something important to do here on earth but have no idea what it is.
I know it’s a lot to navigate alone, which is why I created this programme rooted in sovereignty and sisterhood.
Luminary Governance
As Governors, your understanding and implementation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles are critical to the success and harmony of your organisational environment.
Governors need to consider for themselves what equality, diversity, and inclusion mean in the context of their schools. This will inform the organisation’s approach to cultivating a more equitable culture. This training will help illuminate these key overarching principles: Equality, Strength in Diversity, Creating a Safe Environment, Ensuring Belonging, Challenging Prejudice, Zero-Tolerance of Discrimination, Taking concerns and disclosures seriously.
