I am a multi disciplinary consultant and creative, and one of the diversity, equity and inclusion associates at Being Luminary. In my practice as an educator, adviser and content creator I draw on my doctoral research into lived experiences of marginalisation, and on my own experiences of disability, queerness, transness and immigration. I work with educational institutions, charities and organisations around the world, and in several languages, to build empathy and understanding and to push for meaningful change.
I came into equity work believing that change and growth only happen in community, and that belief is still central to my practice. It is one of the reasons I enjoy this role. I am brought into contact with people from all walks of life who, in sharing their stories, invite me to reflect on my own past and present in turn. There is something uniquely rewarding about growth through openness and mutual respect, and I get to experience it with colleagues and clients alike.
